The invention provides a deceleration strip for a river-crossing tunnel and a deceleration method thereof, the deceleration strip is arranged at the entrance section of the river-crossing tunnel, thedeceleration strip comprises a box body buried in the ground, the top of one end of the box body is hinged with a cover plate, and the other end of the box body is provided with an elastic sheet and is fixed with the other end of the cover plate through the elastic sheet; an air collecting assembly is arranged in the middle of the box body and comprises an air collecting pipe and at least one inflator pump sequentially arranged along one side of the air collecting pipe, each inflator pump comprises a tank body, a piston, a guide rod, a connecting rod, an air inlet pipe and an air outlet pipe,one end of each connecting rod is fixed to the inner wall of the cover plate, and the other end of each connecting rod is hinged to the top of the corresponding guide rod. The bottom of the guide rodis arranged on the piston. The air inlet pipe and the air outlet pipe are respectively arranged at the bottom of the tank body, and the air outlet pipe is respectively connected to the air collectingpipe; the gas collecting pipe is connected with a gas storage tank; a pressure gauge and a pressure release valve are arranged on the gas storage tank; the deceleration strip has the advantages of good deceleration effect and energy collection and reutilization.
