The invention discloses a street lamp laying and mounting method which comprises the following steps: step 1, prefabrication of a mounting piece: preparing the mounting piece, wherein the mounting piece comprises a base and a foundation, wherein the base comprises a bottom plate, inserting claws and plug pins, the bottom plate extends downwards to form the inserting claws, the bottom plate extendsupwards to form the plug pins, and the side surface of each plug pin is provided with at least one plane; the foundation is formed by pouring concrete, inserting holes formed by sinking and matched with the plug pins are arranged at the lower portion of the foundation, and two or more embedded screws are arranged at the upper portion of the foundation; step 2, field installation; and step 3, fixed assembly of a street lamp. Compared with the prior art, the mounting piece and the lighting piece needed in the street lamp laying and mounting process are formed in a split mode, the foundation needing concrete forming is preformed in a factory prefabrication mode, the field construction time is saved, and the influence on the normal life of surrounding residents is reduced.
