The invention provides a slope surface restoration method, and belongs to the technical field of water and soil resource conservation. The slope surface restoration method comprises the steps that (1)a slope surface is pretreated, and the average concave-convex degree of the pretreated slope per linear meter is not larger than +/-8-12 cm; (2) a hard protective net is hung on the pretreated slope,wherein the distance between the hard protective net and the slope is 3-4 cm, and the mesh aperture of the hard protective net is 4-6 cm; and (3) a loam-like matrix is sprayed on the slope on which the hard protective net is hung, wherein the loam-like matrix comprises plant seeds, the mass of the plant seeds in the loam-like matrix is not less than 0.04 kg/m<2>, and the mass ratio of arbor seedsto shrub seeds to herbaceous plant seeds in the plant seeds is (2.5-3.5): (4-6): (1.5-2.5). The method provided by the invention can effectively restore mountain vegetation, and only 1-2 years of artificial maintenance after restoration is needed, so that a cyclic stable ecological system without artificial maintenance can be formed.
