The invention provides ceramic bentonite, which is prepared by the following steps: screening bentonite raw materials mined from bentonite ore, and removing impurities to obtain bentonite raw materials; crushing the obtained bentonite raw material, and adding a diluent into the crushed bentonite for dispersion; adding a sodium modifying agent into the dispersed bentonite to carry out sodium modification; purifying the bentonite subjected to sodium modification, and then covering the purified bentonite with ammonium salt; rinsing the bentonite covered with the ammonium salt, dehydrating the bentonite, adding a sodium modifying agent into the dehydrated bentonite again for sodium modification, and adding a water reducing grinding aid for crushing and milling after sodium modification is completed; and carrying out secondary dehydration on the crushed and ground bentonite, heating and drying the final bentonite, and packaging the bentonite product.
