The invention discloses a ceramic mold and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the steps that NixM1-xFe2O4 powder, ZrB2 powder, Na0.44MnO2 powder, germanium oxide powder andabsolute ethyl alcohol are mixed, ball-milled and dried, and mixed powder is obtained; the mold is pretreated; the mixed powder is put into a pretreated mold, and hot pressed sintering is carried out; wherein x is greater than or equal to 0.4 and less than or equal to 0.8, and M is one of Co, Ba or Zn. The preparation method of the NixM1-xFe2O4 comprises the following steps of adding oleic acid and a mixture of oleic acid compounds containing ferric oleate, nickel oleate and M into a heptane solution, uniformly stirring, adding into a reaction kettle, treating the reaction kettle in a dryingoven, cooling, centrifugally separating and cleaning. The ceramic mold is high in strength and hardness, excellent in abrasion resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and thermal shock resistance and good in toughness.
