The rammer compactor comprises a main body, an air cylinder, a connecting plate, a compaction plate, two wheels, a dustproof mechanism and two vibration mechanisms, and is characterized in that each vibration mechanism comprises a motor, a driving rod, a one-way bearing, a connecting pipe, a first bearing and a plurality of vibration assemblies; the vibration assembly comprises a vibration plate, a fixing column, a connecting rod and two connecting units, and the dustproof mechanism comprises a water box, a water pumping assembly, a branch pipe, a connecting box, two rotating assemblies, a plurality of connecting blocks and a plurality of nozzles. According to the rammer compactor for road construction, the vibration mechanisms are used, so that the compaction plate vibrates, and mud on the road tends not to attach to the compaction plate; further, the tamping quality is prevented from being affected by residual soil onthe tamping plate, the dust falling function is achieved through the dustproof mechanism, dust flying during tamping work is avoided, and therefore the influence on the surrounding environment is avoided.
