The invention relates to a fastening system of a concrete rectangular column formwork and a construction method of a concrete column. The fastening system comprises a plurality of first fastening strips and a plurality of second fastening strips, wherein the plurality of first fastening strips are separately arranged on one group of outer side walls, facing each other, of the rectangular column formwork, a plurality of second fastening strips are separately arranged on the other group of opposite outer side walls of the rectangular column formwork, locking pieces are arranged between the two ends of the first fastening strips and the two adjacent second fastening strips, two connecting strips are connected between every two adjacent first fastening strips, sliding grooves are formed in thefirst fastening strips, the length direction of the sliding grooves is consistent with that of the first fastening strips, in the adjacent first fastening strips, the two connecting strips are hingedto the two ends of the first fastening strip located on the lower portion correspondingly, sliding blocks clamped with the sliding grooves in a sliding mode are arranged at the ends, away from the hinged points, of the two connecting strips correspondingly, and a closed area defined by the adjacent first fastening strips and the two connecting strips is in an isosceles trapezoid shape. The fastening system has the effect of improving the mounting efficiency of the fastening system.
