The invention discloses an environment-friendly gutter inlet sewage interception and sediment separation device and a using method thereof. The device comprises an interception room and an overflow room; a rain grate is arranged at the top of the interception room; a sewage interception hanging basket is hung at the bottom of the rain grate; fine holes are formed in the side wall of the sewage interception hanging basket; a flow guide frame is arranged outside the sewage interception hanging basket and located at the bottom of the rain grate; the bottom of the flow guide frame is fixedly connected with a mud-water separation device; a water permeable wall is arranged at the bottom of the interception room; and a mud collecting tank is arranged at the top of the water permeable wall and located at the bottom side of the mud-water separation device. According to the environment-friendly gutter inlet sewage interception and sediment separation device and the using method thereof, the structure is simple, the separation efficiency is high, large pollutants in runoff can be effectively intercepted, the problem of blockage caused by high initial rainwater impurity content can be effectively solved, the pollutants are prevented from entering a rainwater pipeline system and a rainwater receiving water body, black and odorous urban water bodies can be relieved, and the rainwater pipeline dredging frequency is reduced.
