The preparation method comprises the following steps: step a, preparing materials: 50-80 parts of talc leftover materials, 0-20 parts of magnesian tailings and 0-40 parts of silica; b, crushing: crushing the raw materials in the step a to 15-25mm by adopting a jaw crusher; c, grinding: grinding the crushed raw materials by adopting a Raymond mill until the particle size is 200-350 meshes; d, rolling: rolling the ground raw materials into standard bricks with the length being 240 mm, the width being 115 mm and the height being 60 mm through a hydraulic brick making machine; and e, drying: placing the rolled bricks on a kiln car and feeding into a drying kiln at the temperature of 150-300 DEG C to be dried. The calcined talc is prepared by taking talc leftover bits and pieces as main raw materials and adopting a calcining method, so that the problem of reasonable treatment of the leftover bits and pieces is solved, and the product has the advantages of high whiteness, low flow rate, water permeation prevention, reduction of the calcining temperature of a ceramic body and the like.
