The invention provides a prefabricated house and a construction method thereof. The prefabricated house comprises a ground beam frame, stand columns, a floor I-shaped beam, floor purlines, floor slabs, a roof herringbone beam, roof purlines, roof panels, U-shaped keels and wall panels, wherein hollow square steel is adopted as the stand columns; the lower end of the hollow square steel is fixedlyconnected with the ground beam frame; the upper end of the hollow square steel is fixedly connected with the roof herringbone beam; the U-shaped keels are fixed in the hollow portions of the hollow square steel; and rock wool panels are adopted as the wall panels and inserted into the U-shaped keels. According to the prefabricated house and the construction method thereof, the flat steel is adopted as the ground beam frame, the hollow square steel is adopted as the stand columns, the U-shaped keels in the hollow square steel are used for fixing the rock wool panels to serve as the wall panels,so that the good heat preservation effect and the good air permeability are achieved, the prefabricated house is suitable for office work and living, and erecting is easy and convenient; and needed building materials and labor force are less, thus the construction speed is high, and the manufacturing cost is low.
