The invention relates to the technical field of engine cover locks, and discloses an automobile engine cover lock which comprises a lower assembly and an upper assembly. The lower assembly and the upper assembly are connected through a mounting mechanism and a damping mechanism; the lower assembly comprises a lower shell and a connecting plate; the connecting plate is fixedly connected to the backof the lower shell; mounting holes are formed in the two sides and the bottom of the connecting plate; the upper assembly comprises an upper shell, a hook and a main lock cylinder; and a hinge hole is formed in the left side of the hook. According to the automobile engine cover lock, a long hole is formed in the top of the lower shell, a movable column is arranged at the bottom of the upper shell, and the movable column is slidably connected with the long hole and is fixed through a clamping plate and rotary knobs during use, so that after the device is used for a long time, the upper shell and the lower shell can deviate from each other, and therefore, the upper shell and the lower shell can be adjusted left and right by screwing the rotary knobs, and the problem that adjustment cannot be conducted in the prior art is solved.
