The invention relates to a ferrite granule and a preparation method thereof. The ferrite granule is prepared from main components, auxiliary components, a binder, a plasticizer and water, wherein themain components comprise Fe2O3 and one or more selected from Mn3O4, ZnO, NiO and CuO; the auxiliary components comprise one or more selected from SiO2, CaCO3, V2O5, Nb2O5, ZrO2, TiO2, SnO2, Co2O3, NiO, Bi2O3, MoO3, Fe2O3 and Mn3O4; the binder is polyvinyl alcohol; the plasticizer is one selected from glycerol and polyethylene glycol; the binder accounts for 1.0-2.0 wt% of the main components; andthe plasticizer accounts for 0.5-1.0 wt% of the main components. According to the ferrite granule and the preparation method thereof disclosed by the invention, the compressibility and formability ofthe granule are remarkably improved and optimized.
