The invention discloses a novel insulating brick, and relates to the technical field of building materials, the novel insulating brick comprises a brick body, a first insulating layer is arranged in the brick body, a second insulating layer is arranged in the first insulating layer, a fiber mesh layer is arranged at the position, close to the outer surface, of the brick body, a fireproof layer isarranged on the outer layer of the fiber mesh layer, the second heat preservation layer is composed of, by weight, 25-42 parts of papermaking sludge, 8-23 parts of river sludge, 10-20 parts of coal slag, 18-24 parts of construction waste, 12-19 parts of ceramsite, 5-10 parts of vitrified micro bubbles, 4-13 parts of gypsum, 13 parts of a water repellent, 3-8 parts of a flame retardant, 4-14 partsof straw, 2-4 parts of plant ash, 1.5-5 parts of fibers, 2-5 parts of carbon black, 2.5-6 parts of sodium citrate and 8-15 parts of taurine. The thermal insulation layer is arranged inside to achievethe thermal insulation effect, the fireproof layer is arranged on the outer layer to improve the fireproof effect of the brick, and the fiber net layer is further arranged to improve the cracking resistance, the corrosion resistance and the durability of the brick.
