The invention discloses a preparation process for preparing a ceramic mobile phone rear cover by gel casting. The preparation process comprises the following steps: preparing raw materials: modified zirconia ceramic powder, a monomer, a cross-linking agent, a dispersing agent, a sintering aid, an initiator, a catalyst and a solvent; putting the modified the zirconia ceramic powder, the monomer, the cross-linking agent, the dispersing agent and the solvent into a ball mill for ball milling to obtain mixed slurry; adding the initiator and the catalyst into the mixed slurry, and carrying out vacuum defoaming to obtain ceramic slurry; injecting the ceramic slurry into a mold, standing, demolding and drying to obtain a ceramic mobile phone rear cover green body; and placing the ceramic mobile phone rear cover green body in a punching machine to be punched and finally coated with a hardened layer; according to the preparation process, the ceramic rear cover is prepared through gel casting sothat the prepared ceramic rear cover is more uniform, and the strength of the prepared ceramic rear cover is improved by adopting the modified zirconium oxide ceramic powder; the preparation processis simplified, the efficiency is improved, and the preparation process has good market promotion value.
