The invention provides a space layout structure and method for an asphalt mixing station. The space layout structure comprises a vertical storage tank and an automatic weighing belt conveyor, supporting legs which are symmetrically distributed are arranged at the bottom of the vertical storage tank, a discharging opening is further formed in the bottom of the vertical storage tank, the dischargingopening communicates with the interior of the vertical storage tank, one end of the automatic weighing belt conveyor is arranged under the vertical storage tank, and a protection device is arranged on the automatic weighing belt conveyor. Compared with the prior art, the space layout structure has the beneficial effects that by improving material storage and feeding links, on one hand, the spaceutilization rate is greatly increased, and on the other hand, original forklift conveying is replaced by arranging the vertical tank body and adopting belt conveying, so that the operation cost is reduced, and the working efficiency is improved; by means of the designed protection device, a blocking cover is used for preventing stones from falling outside the automatic weighing belt conveyor, impact of splashing of the stones on the blocking cover is reduced, and the service life of the blocking cover is prolonged.
