The invention discloses a truss type pile leg with a descending buffering structure. The truss type pile leg comprises a truss, a main body sinking pad, a supporting plate, a gear shaft, a gear and asensor. When the self-elevating drilling platform is inserted in place, the descending state of the pile leg can be actively monitored, and the disadvantage that in the prior art, measures are passively taken is avoided. Whether the pile leg reaches a balance state or not can be judged according to data fed back by the displacement sensor, and if not, upward counter force can be continuously provided for the gear. Whether the gear can continuously bear the pressure from the pile leg or not can be judged according to the pressure sensor, if the pressure sensor displays that the pressure is close to the warning value, upward counterforce is stopped, and device damage is avoided. The main body sinking pad is arranged on a mud surface in use and used for dispersing and buffering external forceborne by the gear when the pile leg descends, and device damage is avoided. By means of the structure, pile legs sink slowly during pile pitching of the self-elevating drilling platform, and overturning of a ship body is avoided. Therefore, the large device is erected on a stable foundation, and the safety of offshore large facilities is guaranteed.
