The invention discloses an asphalt concrete preparation process and equipment. The process disclosed by the invention comprises the following steps: proportioning and hot-mixing to obtain an asphalt concrete hot-mixed material; performing forming treatment on an asphalt concrete hot mixture, the asphalt concrete hot mixture is made into asphalt concrete hot material balls, the particle size of the asphalt concrete hot material balls is larger than the maximum particle size of the asphalt concrete hot mixture, and the temperature of the asphalt mixed soil hot material balls is at least the compaction temperature. The equipment comprises a mixing machine and a forming machine which are connected in sequence. The process can solve the long-standing segregation problem in the asphalt concrete industry. Meanwhile, the asphalt concrete road construction quality can be greatly improved.
