The invention relates to the related field of access control systems, and discloses a gate device for assisting a wheelchair to pass through, which comprises a gate, a working cavity with a forward opening is arranged in the gate, the left side and the right side of the working cavity are communicated with side opening cavities away from the working cavity by taking the working cavity as a center opening, and the rear side of the working cavity is provided with a gearwheel cavity; the upper side of the large gear cavity is communicated with a large gear meshing cavity, the rear side of the large gear cavity is communicated with a friction block cavity, and the rear side of the friction block cavity is communicated with a friction plate cavity. The gate device is suitable for the gate of the stations, thereby facilitating disabled persons in wheelchairs in passing the gate. When the gate detects passing of the disabled person, the device can automatically change the form and actively push the wheelchair with the disabled person to the other side of the gate machine, the trouble that the disabled person cannot conveniently drive the wheelchair with hands due to the narrow distance between the gate machines when the wheelchair passes through the gate machine is avoided, meanwhile, the device can quickly and stably push the wheelchair to the other end, and the wheelchair is separated from the wheelchair after being stopped stably.
