The invention relates to a lock, in particular to a lock capable of retrieving a password. The lock comprises a password assembly with an unlocking state and a locking state, the password assembly is provided with a mark groove used for marking the unlocking state and matched with an unlocking pin, and the locking state is converted into the unlocking state by restoring the mark groove through the unlocking pin. A password retrieving function is designed on a common coded lock, the mark groove is formed in a matching wheel, a stick-shaped external object is matched with the mark groove to find the password, the password retrieving efficiency is greatly improved on the premise that the safety and the anti-theft performance of a lock body are not damaged, due to the simple structure, the lock can be applied to most similar coded locks, and the lock is wide in application range, wide in application prospect and high in practicability.
