The invention discloses a positioning and mounting method for a lower chord of a cable-stayed bridge steel truss girder. The positioning and mounting method comprises the following steps that S11, supporting piles and laser transmitters are mounted; S12, a jacking device is installed, and a laser sensor is installed on the side surface of the lower chord of each pier top section; S13, the pier top section lower chord is hoisted to a specified position, jacking is performed by using the jacking device, the pier top section lower chord is adjusted to a designed position of the lower chord by using the laser sensor, and mounting is performed; S14, the laser sensor is installed on the side surface of the lower chord of each cantilever section; S15, the lower chord of the cantilever section is hoisted to the specified position, the lower chord of the cantilever section is adjusted to the designed position of the lower chord by using the laser sensor, and mounting is performed; and S16, in a stay cable tensioning process, the laser sensor is used for adjusting cantilever section lower chord to the design line shape of the lower chord. According to the method, the lower chord is positioned through lasers, the lower chord can be efficiently positioned, the positioning precision is greatly improved, construction is accurate, operation is easy, manpower is saved, and the construction efficiency is high.
