The invention relates to the related field of building construction, and discloses an iron wire winding device for cross steel bars on a construction site. The iron wire winding device comprises a main box body, wherein the left end surface of the main box body is fixedly connected with a connecting box body; the upper end surface of the main box body is fixedly connected with a feeding box body; a hand-holding handle is fixedly connected on the upper end surface of the main box body and positioned at the right side of the feeding box body; a base box body is fixedly connected on the right end surface of the connecting box body and positioned at the lower side of the main box body; and two matching cavities which are symmetrical left and right and are provided with downward openings are arranged in the main box body. The device is placed through the positions of the cross steel bars needing to be fixed by iron wires, and then the iron wires are automatically wound after being bent around the cross points of the cross steel bars according to positioning, so that a construction worker only needs to control a motor switch by one hand, operation is simple, and danger which may occur when two hands are needed for operation during high-altitude operation is avoided; and meanwhile, winding and fixing of the iron wires are highly unified through mechanization, so that errors caused by unskilled operation of personnel are avoided.
