The invention discloses a road deceleration strip with the overload governance function; the strip comprises a deceleration strip body, two triangular stabilizing blocks are fixedly connected to the interior of the deceleration strip body, and the two triangular stabilizing blocks are symmetrically arranged about the central axis of the deceleration strip body; and first sliding grooves are formed in one sides of the outer walls of the triangular stabilizing blocks, sliding plates are slidably connected into the two first sliding grooves correspondingly, a buffer plate is fixedly connected between the two sliding plates, and a reset spring is fixedly connected between the bottom of the buffer plate and the inner wall of the deceleration strip body. When a vehicle passes through the deceleration strip body, friction deceleration is conducted on the vehicle through the deceleration block, the triangular stabilizing block stably supports the deceleration strip body, the deceleration plate slides in the second sliding groove through the connecting plate at the bottom, and the buffer plate slides in the first sliding grooves through elasticity of the reset spring; and the automobile speed is reduced while the deceleration strip body is buffered.
