The invention discloses a coal gangue phase change aggregate and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps that S1, coal gangue serves as a raw material and is crushed in advance, and the crushed coal gangue is calcined for 2-4 h at the temperature of 600-800 DEG C; S2, after the calcined product is cooled, 50-65% of the calcined product is taken and mixed with 30-40% of paraffin, sealed heat preservation is conducted on the mixture in a negative pressure environment under the condition of T1 temperature for 3-5 hours, then cooling to the temperature of T2 is conducted, and sealed heat preservation for 3-5 hours is continuously conducted; and S3, after heat preservation is finished, a product obtained in the step S2 is taken out, cooled, crushed and then mixed with 5-10% of active admixture at the temperature of T3, so that the surfaces of the coal gangue-paraffin composite particles are wrapped with the active admixture, and the coal gangue phase change aggregate is obtained. The method has the advantages of simple process, utilization of solid waste gangue, low cost, greenness, environmental protection, good temperature control effect, and suitableness for mass concrete.
