The invention discloses a box type foundation device for controlling tunnel push-out type joint settlement. The device comprises an upper cushion layer, a lower cushion layer and a plurality of hydraulic telescopic cylinders arranged between the upper cushion layer and the lower cushion layer; the telescopic end and the bottom end of each hydraulic telescopic cylinder are fixedly connected with the upper cushion layer and the lower cushion layer through inclined supports respectively; and all the hydraulic telescopic cylinders are connected in series through a hydraulic pipe. The invention further discloses a construction method for controlling the tunnel push-out type joint settlement based on the device. The box type foundation device for controlling the tunnel push-out type joint settlement is simple in structure and convenient to construct, and the situation that joint supporting is not stable due to differential settlement caused by insufficient bearing capacity of a foundation is compensated; and meanwhile, when joints are in butt joint, broken stones of the upper cushion layer in the box type foundation device are in a falling state, the butt joint process cannot be affected at all, the butt joint stability is guaranteed, and meanwhile, the butted joints can be stably supported.
