The upright column pile structure comprises a foundation pit excavation face, wherein a pile hole is downwards formed in the foundation pit excavation face; the pile hole is a step hole; the pile hole comprises an upper pile hole and a lower pile hole; the size of the upper pile hole is larger than that of the lower pile hole; a step is formed between the upper pile hole and the lower pile hole; a pile foundation is arranged in the pile hole; the pile foundation comprises an upper enlarged section, a middle transition section and a lower standard section; the lower standard section is arranged in the lower pile hole; the upper enlarged section and the middle transition section are arranged in the upper pile hole; a steel upright column is arranged in the upper enlarged section; and the upper end of the steel upright column extends out of the foundation pit excavation face. According to the upright column pile structure adopting the enlarged head and the construction process thereof, the problems of invalid cost generation and construction speed increase in existing construction can be solved.
