The invention discloses an adjustable protective fence and a using method thereof, and relates to the technical field of building construction equipment. The adjustable protective fence and the using method thereof aim at solving the problems that an existing protective fence cannot adjust the size according to the actual situation of a site, so that materials are wasted, and safety accidents are prone to being caused. The adjustable protective fence comprises a plurality of fence units which are continuously connected to the edge of a prefabricated part, wherein each fence unit comprises two guardrail stand columns and a protective net connected between the two guardrail stand columns, each guardrail stand column comprises a stand column body and a socket sleeve, the socket sleeves are detachably connected to the prefabricated part of the outer protective fence of a building, and the bottom ends of the stand column bodies are arranged on the socket sleeves in a sleeving mode and buckled to the socket sleeves. The using method comprises the steps that the socket sleeves are detachably connected to the top of the prefabricated part, the stand column bodies are arranged on the socket sleeves in the sleeving mode and buckled to the socket sleeves to be assembled into the guardrail stand columns, and the protective nets are detachably connected between the two guardrail stand columns to form the fence units; and prefabricated laminated slabs are horizontally placed on the inner sides of the fence units, one ends of steel wire ropes are fixed to the prefabricated laminated slabs, and the other ends of the steel wire ropes are fixed to the stand column bodies.
