The invention discloses a buckling restrained brace adopting ceramsite concrete and a preparation method of the buckling restrained brace. The buckling restrained brace comprises the ceramsite concrete, a core plate, a sleeve and a non-adhesive delaminated layer, wherein the middle area of the core plate is arranged in the sleeve, the non-adhesive delaminating layer is adhered to the surface, in contact with the ceramsite concrete, of the core plate, a cavity formed between the core plate and the sleeve is densely filled with the ceramsite concrete, and the ceramsite concrete brace is made of a concrete composite material with ceramsite as coarse aggregate and is used for bearing axial force. According to the buckling restrained brace adopting the ceramsite concrete and the preparation method of the buckling restrained brace, the reinforcing effect of the buckling restrained brace on the anti-seismic property of the structure can be better achieved.
