The invention relates to an environment-friendly device for removing dust on a road surface for road maintenance. The device comprises a vehicle frame and wheels mounted on the vehicle frame, a rectangular frame is arranged on one side of the vehicle frame facing the ground, the rectangular frame is hinged to a mounting frame fixed on the vehicle frame through a connecting frame, and a limiting piece is fixed on the mounting frame. When the rectangular frame is in a horizontal state, the connecting frame abuts against the limiting piece, and two dust suction hoods which are in sliding fit with the rectangular frame through guide assemblies are installed on the inner side of the rectangular frame. A dust suction box is arranged on the side, away from the rectangular frame, of the vehicle frame, a suction fan is installed at the side end of the dust suction box, an air outlet of the suction fan communicates with the inner side of the dust suction box, and an air inlet of the suction fan communicates with the inner sides of the dust suction hoods through guide pipes. The environment-friendly device is novel in design, negative pressure is generated in the dust suction hoods when the arranged suction fan works, and therefore dust on the ground is cleaned.
