The method comprises the steps that induction information generated when infrared light emitters in a vehicle door control area are triggered by a target object is acquired; wherein the induction information comprises trigger time when the infrared light emitters are triggered by the target object; determining a motion track of the target object according to the trigger time of each infrared light emitter; and controlling the vehicle door corresponding to the vehicle door control area according to the motion track. According to the method, the motion track of the target object is identified according to the induction information of the infrared light emitter triggered by the target object, opening and closing of the vehicle door are accurately controlled through the motion track of the target object, the accuracy of vehicle door opening and closing control is improved, and the problem that the vehicle door is automatically opened when the sensor is mistakenly triggered is effectively solved.
