According to a disclosed light hard floor and the preparation method thereof, an improved glass magnesium board base material is adopted to replace a PVC base material in the middle of a traditional hard PVC floor, and the two faces of the improved glass magnesium board base material are attached to the skin and the IXPE, so that compared with the traditional hard floor, the light hard floor has more excellent fireproof performance, and is smokeless and non-toxic when meeting fire, a flame retardant is not needed to be added in the preparation process, and the cost and the energy consumption are reduced; the floor has excellent sound insulation performance without adding a sound insulation pad, and the production cost of the floor with the sound insulation effect is reduced; the texture is lighter and softer, and the foot feeling is comfortable; high moisture-proof and mildew-proof performance is achieved, aging resistance is achieved, and the service life is long; and in addition, the floor prepared from the improved base material is odorless, non-toxic, more environment-friendly, low in cost and rich in raw material source.
