The invention discloses a catch basin for municipal drainage, and relates to the technical field of constructional engineering. According to the technical scheme, the catch basin is characterized by comprising a well body, a water inlet pipe, a water outlet pipe and a well lid; the water inlet pipe is internally provided with a sealing mechanism for controlling the flow of water flowing into the well body so as to prevent the water level in the well body from being too high; a pressure reduction mechanism comprises a water storage assembly for storing water, a water sucking assembly for diverting and sucking water in the water outlet pipe to the water storage assembly, and a power assembly for converting the speed of a water flow in the water outlet pipe into suction power; and the water outlet pipe is internally provided with the pressure reduction mechanism assisting in draining water outwards so as to reduce pressure in the well body. The technical effects are that when the water quantity outside the well body is increased, the sealing mechanism controls the flow of the water entering the well body to slow down the rising of the water level height in the well body; and meanwhile, the pressure reduction mechanism can suck rainwater in the water outlet pipe so as to reduce the pressure in the water outlet pipe, so that the device has the advantage that the drainage speed of the catch basin can be ensured through combination of the sealing mechanism and the pressure reduction mechanism.
