The invention provides an unpowered intercepting well and a drainage system, and belongs to the technical field of drainage systems. The unpowered intercepting well is provided with a first chamber and a second chamber which are used for distributing sewage; a water inlet is formed in the first chamber; a first water outlet is formed in the second chamber; a check gate is arranged between the first chamber and the second chamber, and the check gate has an open state in which the first chamber and the second chamber are communicated and also has a closed state in which the first chamber and the second chamber are blocked; according to the unpowered catch basin, the flow of water entering a sewage pipe network can be adjusted by opening and closing the weir gate, so that the water flow in the sewage pipe network is stable.
