The invention provides a preparation method of coal gangue hollow bricks. The method comprises the following steps of 1, raw material selection, wherein a fuel, a filling material and a curing material are crushed, then a binding material and water are sequentially added, and stirring is performed again for uniform mixing to obtain crushed raw materials; 2, hollow brick forming, wherein the mixture is fed into an extruder for extrusion forming under the forming pressure of 2.2-2.4 MPa, and cutting is performed through a cutting machine to obtain green bricks; 3, green brick stacking, wherein the cut formed hollow bricks are stacked on trays; 4, drying, wherein the formed hollow bricks stacked on the trays are conveyed to a drying chamber for drying; 5, roasting, wherein the dried hollow bricks are conveyed to a roasting chamber for roasting; 6, cooling; and 7, warehousing. According to the preparation method of the coal gangue hollow bricks, the temperature of the drying chamber and the temperature of the roasting chamber can be adjusted and controlled by workers, energy conservation and emission reduction are achieved, and the prepared coal gangue hollow bricks are stable in structure.
