The invention discloses geopolymer microspheres and a preparation method thereof. The geopolymer microspheres are mainly prepared from the following components: 200-1000 parts of high titanium slag powder, 0-200 parts of fly ash, 0-200 parts of metakaolin, 0-200 parts of common slag powder, 1-15 parts of a thickening time control agent and 160-850 parts of an alkali activator. According to the invention, the effective utilization way of the high-titanium slag is effectively widened, and the environmental pressure is reduced; and a high-performance geopolymer microsphere material can be obtained, and a high-added-value product is obtained.
