The invention discloses a soft magnetic ferrite material and a preparation method thereof, the soft magnetic ferrite material comprises a main material and an auxiliary material, the main material comprises, by mass, 69-72.0 wt% of Fe203, 4-6 wt% of Zn < 0 > and 20.35-26.475 wt% of Mn304; the auxiliary material is prepared from the following components in percentage by mass: 0.05-0.15 wt% of Caco3, 0.05-0.25 wt% of Co2o3, 0.025-0.05 wt% of Nb2o5, 0.2-0.50 wt% of Sno2 and 0.05-0.25 wt% of NI0, the mass percent of each component of the auxiliary material is calculated relative to the total mass of the main material, and the total addition amount of the auxiliary material accounts for 0.525-1.65% of the total mass of the main material. According to the present invention, with the arrangement of the new formula of the soft magnetic ferrite, the magnetic permeability of the soft magnetic ferrite material can be substantially improved, and the loss of the soft magnetic ferrite material during the use process can be substantially reduced so that the soft magnetic ferrite material can meet the actual requirements of the market, and the application range of the soft magnetic ferrite material is expanded; the research and development cost investment of a manufacturer on the soft magnetic ferrite material is greatly reduced, so that the overall benefit of the manufacturer for producing the soft magnetic ferrite material can be greatly improved.
