The invention discloses an unmanned ship for collecting garbage on the water surface. The unmanned ship comprises: a machine body (101), wherein the machine body (101) is provided with an air cushion (102); a propeller (104) disposed on the machine body (101) via a first motor (103); and a driving part which drives a propeller (104) to rotate and adjust the direction through the first motor (103), and drives a collecting mechanism to swing through a second motor (201) so as to collect the garbage. The first motor (103) drives the propeller (104) to rotate, so that the ship moves to a designated position, the second motor (201) enables the collecting mechanism to swing to collect garbage, the purpose of replacing manpower to clean the garbage on the water surface is achieved, and the garbage cleaning efficiency is greatly improved.
