The safe municipal sewage disposal system comprises the ground; a sewer is arranged on the lower side of the ground; a sewer gas recovery mechanism is arranged in the sewer, and the sewer gas recovery mechanism is used for collecting gas in the sewer, so that the content of combustible gas in the sewer is reduced; a gas separation and methane recovery mechanism located on the right side of the sewer gas recovery mechanism is arranged in the sewer. The gas separation and methane recovery mechanism can absorb gases such as carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide and the like, so that relatively pure methane gas is separated and stored, and the methane gas is conveniently recycled; meanwhile, invalid lime water in the gas separation and methane recovery mechanism can be used as a water source required for fire extinguishing for secondary utilization; and an open fire extinguishing mechanism can automatically identify and extinguish open fire fed into the sewer, so that the explosion risk of the sewer is further reduced.
