FENDER STRUCTURE
A fender structure (1) comprises a fender body (11) that is made from an elastic material and that includes an impact receiving part (13) for mitigating impact when a vessel comes along another vessel or a quay wall, and an impact receiving part cover (41) that is made from an elastic material and that is removably mounted so as to cover the entire surface (14) of the impact receiving part (13) of the fender body (11). Moreover, the impact receiving part cover (41) is provided with a protective member (61a, 61b) on either end (47a, 47b) thereof so that a portion of the corresponding side walls (17a, 17b) of the fender body (11) on the impact receiving part (13) side is covered when installed on a quay wall with the longitudinal direction as the horizontal direction. Thus, the frequency of replacement of entire fender structures (1) is reduced because only impact receiving part covers (41) that are damaged can be replaced. Moreover, the possibility of damage to the side walls (17a, 17b) of the fender body (11) can be reduced due to the protective members (61a, 61b).
