The invention relates to a construction method for a large-segment support system of a large-span variable-cross-section continuous cast-in-place box girder . The construction method comprises the steps that (1) construction preparation is conducted; (2) the stiff supporting columns are installed; (3) a supporting steel pipe is mounted; (4) a supporting top beam is arranged; (5) a poured section of the box girder is constructed; (6) a suspension bracket and a pre-pressing water tank are arranged; (7) a post-pouring closure section formwork is installed; and (8) post-pouring closure section concrete is poured. The method has the beneficial effects that the stiff supporting columns are fastened through position control sleeves and column bottom plug blocks, and the supporting column connecting ribs are arranged between the adjacent stiff supporting columns, so that the integrity and the laying efficiency of the stiff supporting columns can be effectively improved; the supporting steel pipe is fastened through pressing plate fastening bolts, so that the integrity of the supporting steel pipe is improved, and the stress performance of the supporting steel pipe is improved; the stress of first profile steel and second profile steel can be tested through the stress sensor, so that the difficulty of controlling the relative position of the poured section of the box girder can be effectively reduced; and the installation difficulty of the box girder formwork is reduced, and the positioning problem of the box girder reinforcement cage is solved.
