The invention discloses a sweeping device for a walking road of a transformer substation inspection robot. The sweeping device comprises: a frame; a roller arranged on the frame, wherein the frame is provided with a driving mechanism for driving the roller to be away from or in contact with the ground, and a detection device is arranged between the roller and the frame; a rotary brush arranged behind the roller and driven by a first motor to rotate; a containing box with an open top, wherein the containing box is driven by a motor; walking wheels arranged on the bottom surface of the frame, wherein a brake mechanism is arranged on the bottom surface of the frame; and a microprocessor, wherein a detector is electrically connected with the input end of the microprocessor, and the first motor and a second motor are electrically connected with the output end of the microprocessor. Whether blocky foreign matters exist on the road surface or not is judged according to whether the roller moves up and down rapidly or not, the blocky foreign matters are swept into the containing box through the rotating brush after being found, the detection process of the blocky foreign matters is not influenced by light, people do not need to pick up the blocky foreign matters, and manpower is saved.
