The invention discloses a method for preparing modified graphene oxide, and a formula for preparing slump-retaining mother liquor from the modified graphene oxide. The method comprises the following steps that S1, a proper amount of graphene oxide used for modification is taken, a 2 g/l graphene oxide dispersion liquid is prepared, and dispersion is conducted for 2 h under the ultrasonic condition; S2, 1000 g of graphene oxide dispersion liquid is weighed, is placed in a reaction kettle, is stirred, and is heated in a water bath to 70 DEG C; S3, 4 g of vinyltriethoxysilane is weighed and added into the reaction kettle in a dropwise adding mode, wherein the drop-by-drop adding time is 0.5 h; and S4, continuous reaction is performed for 0.5 h after drop-by-drop adding. According to the method and the formula, the graphene oxide is chemically modified to a certain degree, so that the graphene oxide can participate in synthesis of the slump-retaining polycarboxylic acid mother liquor, the product can effectively weaken the tackifying effect of the graphene oxide on the concrete, meanwhile, the utilization rate of the graphene oxide is increased, and the slump-retaining performance of the graphene modified concrete within a period of time is guaranteed.
