The invention relates to the technical field of environmental functional materials, and especially relates to an antimony tailing powder-based alkali-activated cementing material and a preparation method thereof. The cementing material comprises, by weight, 80-90 parts of antimony tailing powder, 5-10 parts of slag powder, 1-3 parts of dihydrate gypsum, 0-1 part of calcium chloride, 2-4 parts of sodium hydroxide, 0.5-1 part of water glass and 20-30 parts of water. The antimony tailing powder-based alkali-activated cementing material has the advantages of low temperature (normal temperature) and low alkali, is used for solving the problems of heavy metal solidification and resource utilization of the antimony tailings at present, and can fully utilize the antimony tailings. The preparation method disclosed by the invention is simple and convenient in preparation process and easy to adjust, does not need to add cement in the preparation process, and is free of calcination, less in CO2 emission, low in energy consumption and environment-friendly compared with traditional cement solidification.
