The invention provides a rod piece connecting structure and a foot stool. The rod piece connecting structure comprises a sleeve and a reducing mechanism. An opening is formed in the sleeve. The reducing mechanism comprises an extrusion piece. The extrusion piece is rotationally arranged on the sleeve and located at the position of the opening. The extrusion piece is provided with a rotating shaft and comprises an extrusion part. Part of the peripheral face of the extrusion part is an arc face, and the radius from part of the arc face to the rotating shaft is gradually reduced. The extrusion piece can change the size of the part, inserted into the sleeve through the opening, of the arc face through rotation. The rod piece connecting structure is connected with a first rod piece and a second rod piece of the foot stool, the first rod piece located in the sleeve can be clamped, and therefore the first rod piece and the second rod piece are relatively fixed; and meanwhile, the clamping position of the first rod piece can be conveniently adjusted, and therefore the applicability of the rod piece connecting structure is improved.
