The invention relates to the technical field of asphalt concrete, in particular to an anti-crack asphalt mixture and a preparation method thereof. The anti-crack asphalt mixture is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 250 to 300 parts of fine aggregate; 1400 to 1600 parts of coarse aggregate; 300 to 600 parts of a recycled asphalt material; 150 to 250 parts of mineral powder; 130 to 140 parts of asphalt; 3 to 5 parts of a binder; 0.6 to 1.1 parts of an anti-stripping agent; and 50 to 80 parts of a modified fiber filler. The modified fiber filler is prepared by the following steps: a, mixing basalt fiber and glass fiber, performing heating, and freeze-drying to obtain mixed fibers; and b, performing surface treatment on the mixed fibers, and mixing the mixed fibers with a modification liquid to prepare the modified fiber filler, wherein the modification liquid is composed of molten resin and filler; and the molten resin is composed of epoxy resin, amino resin and saturated polyester resin. The asphalt mixture disclosed by the invention has the advantage of high crack resistance.
