The restoration method comprises the following steps of sand dune bottom ecological restoration, sand dune middle ecological restoration and sand dune top ecological restoration. According to the method, the sand dune is divided into different parts according to different damage degrees of wind and sand, and corresponding repairing methods are adopted, so that the good repairing effect is achieved, and cost is saved; and by means of the restoration method, the sand surface erosion modulus is reduced by 63% or above, the planting survival rate of shrub plant living bodies reaches 85% or above, the preservation rate reaches 80% or above, the vegetation coverage reaches 70% or above, and the annual growth amount of shrub plant living bodies reaches 6 cm or above.
