The auxiliary device comprises a tank body foundation and a tank body mounted on the tank body foundation; a plurality of supporting frames are uniformly distributed and mounted on the outer side surface of the tank body foundation in the circumferential direction of the tank body foundation; a first annular track fixed to the tops of the supporting frames is arranged outside the tank body; and at least one platform trolley capable of moving along the first annular track is arranged on the first annular track. In the assembling process of the large tank body, constructors can conduct local adjustment of the deformation amount of the tank body, weld crater polishing, tank body outer wall painting and other work on the platform trolley. Compared with an existing erected scaffold platform, the auxiliary device for assembling the large tank body in the embodiment is small in construction workload and short in construction time, manpower and material resources are greatly reduced, and then the assembling efficiency of the large tank body is improved.
