The invention relates to a deep-sea mining tail water discharge plume restraining device. The device comprises a mineral tail water discharge pipe, a plume restraining pipeline cover and damping fins, wherein a tail water inlet of the plume restraining pipeline cover is fixedly connected with the mineral tail water discharge pipe, the multiple damping fins are fixedly connected in the plume restraining pipeline cover, and in the direction from a tail water inlet to a tail water outlet, the sizes of the damping fins are gradually increased. According to the deep-sea mining tail water discharge plume restraining device, the flowing speed of discharged tail water is effectively reduced through a unique damping structure (the effective discharge sectional area of the restraining device exceeds the sectional area of the tail water discharge pipeline by at least 30%, such that the tail water discharge efficiency is not affected), the diffusion speed of plume sediment is remarkably reduced, and therefore, the influence of tail water discharge particulate matter on benthic organisms and the marine environment is controlled within the minimum degree.
