The invention discloses a construction method for lifting and closing arch ribs of an arch bridge, and relates to the technical field of bridge construction. The construction method comprises the following steps of: dividing the arch ribs into two bulk splicing arch ribs and an integral lifting arch rib; mounting a second temporary support, and splicing and hoisting the scattered and spliced arch ribs to the set position through a floating crane; mounting an overall lifting section arch rib on the second temporary support, opening a lifting channel, and integrally moving the overall lifting section arch rib to the design position; folding and welding the bulk splicing section arch rib and the integral lifting section arch rib; and after closure detection of the bulk splicing arch ribs and the integral lifting section arch ribs is normal, completing installation of the bulk splicing arch ribs and the overall lifting section arch ribs. Compared with the prior art, splicing and welding are reasonably utilized, the construction difficulty is reduced, the stage positioning precision is improved, the segment manufacturing quality is optimized, the construction cost is reduced, the construction period is shortened, and the construction quality is guaranteed.
