The invention discloses a parking lot charging system and a charging method. The system is characterized by comprising a vertical column (2); the stand column (2) is provided with a charging control panel (4), the charging control panel (4) is connected with a patch cord (3), the mobile charging trolley (1) is provided with an automatic walking mechanism (5) and a battery assembly (6), the mobile charging trolley (1) is provided with a charging communication unit (7), the charging communication unit (7) is in communication connection with a power emission controller (8), and the power emission controller (8) is electrically connected with a transmitting coil (9); and the charging control panel (4) is provided with a stand column communication unit (12) and a power receiving controller (10), and the power receiving controller (10) is electrically connected with a receiving coil (11). The mobile charging device only needs to walk to a designated position of the stand column, and the position of the stand column is fixed, so that the difficulty of automatic control is greatly reduced. A user does not need to install an app in a mobile phone, so that the use requirement is reduced. The charging trolleys can be charged in a centralized manner.
