Compact lock for inner door and lock assembly
A lock for an inner door includes: a lock case; a first pawl and a second pawl provided with at least one ratchet, the second pawl configured to be rotated by a second lever handle, and the second pawl being rotatable independently of the first pawl; a latch configured to translate from an open position to a closed position, and vice versa; the interface element is configured to be matched with the plunger latch, the first pawl and the second pawl, so that when any pawl rotates from the stopping position to the first working position in the first direction, the interface element translates from the first position to the second position, and the plunger latch translates from the closing position to the opening position; a spring connected to the interface element, the spring configured to cooperate with the pawls, when any one pawl is rotated in a second direction opposite to the first direction from the stop position to the second working position, if the other pawl is rotated in the first direction from the stop position to the first working position with a mechanical torque higher or lower than a threshold value, respectively; translation of the interface element from the first position to the second position is prevented or permitted.
